The reason I chose to switch to Animas from DHS was because the culture of DHS didn't motivate me enough to make me actually commit to completing work well and on time. I never found myself to be interested in any of the work they threw at us, but at Animas I feel like you get to choose and make your own academic path, which causes you to become more interested in what youre learning, and you usually also get the chance to take away helpful skills and knowledge that you'll be able to apply to your life in the future, which is not something you get to experience at DHS where they give you typical problems and packets with information that wont be relevant or beneficial to your future, and you'll most likely forget the information as well since everyone gets the same work; therefor not being able to choose what you study, which causes you to lack interest and not take anything away from the experience.
I also feel and have experienced the new and different atmosphere that everyone here works hard to represent. At Animas everyone is more accepting and supportive which also helps you in being a genuinly happy person and being motivated to do your work. So far I've definitely seen a change for the better in myself. I believe that switching was the right choice for me.
