Project reflection
How did you like doing your independent research project?
I feel like there was a lot of trust in us students when it comes to this project because there re no guidelines really. I liked being able to work by myself but at some points I wouldn't know what to do next or what to add to make something better. But talking to peers helped me.
What did you like and what didn't you like?
Again, i did't really really enjoy the fact that there were no guidelines. I liked being able to work by myself but that also came with downsides because other people were able to work in groups and create a very successful project.
What would you change about this project if anything?
I would change it so that there's more structure and more of a time frame.
What did you learn about your research topic?
My research topic was: The math in music. I didn't learn anything I didn't know because I have played the piano for about nine years. I just showed other the math in music.

Junior Year Reflection
If you set goals this year in math class, were they achieved?
My main goal was to put forth my best effort and earn a decent grade, most likely an A. During the beginning of the semester I was working towards this goal and was doing it very well. I turned everything in on time and tried my hardest. But then started lacking motivation. My performance dropped a little at the end. I do still think that I somewhat achieved my goal of working hard especially during the beginning. I also wanted to learn, which ,thanks to Hannah Starbuck, I did!
Do you feel more confident in your math abilities? Why or why not?
To be honest I do not think that I learned a lot of math or improved my math skills. (I am saying this based off of how much I knew on the SAT after taking this class). I feel that we focused more on different stuff, such as riddle-like situations.
Do you feel like you were able to balance this class with other classes you were taking?
Yes, there was just the right amount of work. I could manage to do the work for this class along with my other classes in a timely manner.
Do you feel prepared for math 4 or any other math electives you may take?
I do not feel too confident about how this class helped me gain knowledge that will prepare me for future math classes. Unless math 4 is going to be just as weird and off topic as math 3. Do not get me wrong though, I loved this class and I feel like it was beneficial in ways not pertaining to math.
